A Month of Success and What’s Next at KCAPA!

What an incredible month it’s been at the KCAPA! I’m writing to you with a heart full of KCAPA pride as we reflect on some fantastic recent events and look ahead to an exciting lineup of activities.

Reflecting on October’s Triumphs
October was a whirlwind of energy, achievement, and cultural celebration!

Hispanic Heritage Show: Our students truly outdid themselves with a wonderful Hispanic Heritage Show. The talent, passion, and spirit on display were inspiring, making for an unforgettable celebration of culture and community. A huge round of applause to everyone who participated and attended!

College and Trade Fair: We had a highly successful College and Trade Fair, where our students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from numerous post-secondary institutions and trade organizations. It’s never too early to start thinking about the future, and we hope this event sparked some great conversations at home!

PSAT Testing: Congratulations to all our students on successfully completing the PSAT testing! We appreciate everyone’s focus and effort on this important assessment.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming Events
The excitement continues! Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:

College Visits: We have more representatives visiting our campus this week and in the weeks ahead. Please encourage your student to check the Google Classroom and school calendar for the full schedule of college visits to explore their options!

Bad and “Boo”gie Dance: Get ready to groove! Our PBIS Team is hosting the Bad and “Boo”gie Dance on Wednesday, October 29th, from 5:30- 7:30 pm. It’s a great chance for students to have fun and socialize. Tickets are $5 or 300 PBIS points.

Pumpkin Carving Contest: Get those creative juices flowing! Our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is just around the corner, offering a fun, festive competition.

Pep Rally: Let’s show our school spirit! Be ready to get loud and cheer on our creative students at the upcoming Pep Rally!

Important Reminders: Stay Warm and Organized!
As the days get shorter and the temperatures start to drop, it’s time to think about keeping warm. Please remind your students that the weather is changing!

KCAPA Gear: Encourage your student to stop by the School Store to purchase official KCAPA sweatshirts and hoodies! They’re a great way to stay cozy while representing school spirit.

Locker Rentals: Students can still rent a locker for only $5 to help keep their books and belongings organized and secure. They should see Mr. Thompson to rent a locker today!

Have a wonderful month!
