KCAPA Excels through ARTS
Message from the Principal’s Desk
November 8, 2024
Dear KCAPA Students and Families,
Happy November! We’ve successfully navigated the first quarter of the school year. I’m excited to share some highlights from our vibrant October.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
KCAPA annually hosts a spectacular show to honor our students’ rich Hispanic heritage. This year’s event was no exception, featuring dazzling performances of salsa, merengue, reggaeton, bachata, and other traditional dances. We were also thrilled to revisit the award-winning performance our students showcased at the Puerto Rican Day Parade. A huge thank you to our talented dancers and their dedicated teacher, Mrs. McLean, for creating such a memorable celebration of KCAPA’s Hispanic community.
Fall Festivities
To embrace the spirit of autumn and Halloween, we hosted a thrilling Pep Rally, a creative pumpkin painting contest, and a lively school dance. The Pep Rally featured electrifying performances of Thriller, Beetlejuice, and Ghostbusters, along with engaging games and activities. Congratulations to Ms. Sinclair’s advisory for winning the pumpkin painting contest! Special thanks to Ms. Leech and the dedicated staff who made these events possible.
KCAPA Athletics Shines
Our KCAPA Athletics program had an outstanding month. A resounding congratulations to the Girls’ Soccer team for clinching the PIT Championship! Their hard work and dedication throughout the season paid off. Thank you, Mrs. League, for your invaluable support of the Girls’ Soccer Team.
I eagerly anticipate sharing more of KCAPA’s incredible achievements throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Principal McDermott
