World Language Department

The Kensington CAPA World Language Department is thrilled to announce the introduction of Spanish language courses at Levels 1, 2, and Honors 3 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Recognizing the global interconnectedness of our world, all students are required to successfully complete two credits of world language study to fulfill their graduation requirements.

Our comprehensive language curriculum is meticulously designed in alignment with the esteemed American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) World Readiness Standards. With a focus on the “Five C” framework – Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities – students will cultivate a deep understanding of the Spanish language and its rich cultural tapestry.

Through engaging and immersive learning experiences, students will develop strong communication skills, gain insights into diverse cultures, build global connections, and foster a lifelong appreciation for linguistic and cultural diversity.
